Figure Drawing I

2/3/2012 - 3/16/2012  - Fridays

Weekly 3 hours per week

6 Weeks - $99

 Class description: This class will focus on the human anatomy with a live Model..  We will study the more simple body structure, angles position, facial structure, hands, as well as basics of composition, shape, shadow, structure, bone structure, muscle structure, and use of various pigments: Charcoal, graphite, and ink.

 Pick up a supply list at the Adult Ed office prior to the first class. $30 model fee.

Figure Drawing II

3/23/2012 – 5/4/2012 - Fridays

Weekly 3 hours per week

6 Weeks  - $99

Prerequisite: Life Drawing I 

Class description: This class will focus on the human anatomy with a live Model. We will take a stronger focus on the final composition and how to achieve a mood within your drawing, how to take your drawings into the realm of fine art, and the complex theories of composition, shape, shadow, structure.

 Pick up a supply list at the Adult Ed office prior to the first class. $30 model fee.

Advanced Figure Painting  - session III

5/11/2012 – 6/22/2012 (no class 5/25) - Fridays

Weekly 3 hours per week

6 Weeks - $99

Prerequisite: Life Drawing I & II

 Class description: This class will focus on painting the figure as a full study in Oil or Acrylic medium, with an approach to painting the full figure and surroundings in alla prima style.  Finish a color study of the model weekly.  We will cover: composition, color theory, line, technique, and the mythology (meaning) of arrangements.

 Pick up a supply list at the Adult Ed office prior to the first class. $30 model fee.

Animal Painting Class

4/19/2012 – 5/31/2012 (no class 5/24) Thursdays

Weekly 3 hours per week

6 Weeks - $99

Class description: This class will focus on painting animals in Oil, Pastel, or Acrylic medium.  This class is an approach to painting our furry friends, how to understand muscle and bone structure as well as the nuances that each species has.  We will study composition, color theory, line, technique, and creating intrigue within a painting.  We will work from photos for this class.

Figure Sculpture Workshop

3/10/2012 - One Day – 8 hours

In Baldwin Fine Art Studio- Fair Oaks, CA

Location: 7850 Winding Way, FO, CA 95628

 Class Description:  This class will focus on building accurate life proportions with armature and the process of creating a study from oil based clay (Plasticine).  We will work from a live model, in the studio of the artist.  The focus will be on building layers of muscle to create the sense of reality beginning with the backbone and looking for accuracy in form. 

This size of this class will be limited to 10 students. There will be a $25 model fee.  Please pick up a supply list at the Adult Ed office prior to the first class.
